Nikki McMaster-Martorano (she/her)

Nikki is a Trauma Informed, E-RYT, Reiki Master, Yoga Teacher Trainer and Educator. When she is not teaching yoga she is a Boston Public Schools Physical Educator who strives to make whole body wellness accessible to all.

Nikki became curious about yoga when her career in education began and was amazed by the impact the practice had on her and her elementary school students. Inspired by the kids to learn more about the practice Nikki enrolled in YTT in the summer of 2018. Since then, she has been teaching yoga with an authentic, inclusive and anti-racist lens- always teaching what she’s practicing with an emphasis on being a lifelong learner and practitioner.

Her goal as a yoga teacher is to cultivate and offer an environment where students feel safe to develop a sense of agency over their practice, while honoring the roots and deep, ancient wisdom that this practice has to offer. Expect to move mindfully, explore yoga beyond asana (yoga poses) and develop a deeper connection between your mind, body and breath.

Casey Silva (she/her)

Casey came to yoga in 2013 as a New Years resolution, after many years of ballet training which resulted in a serious back injury. Despite being the least flexible person in the room at that time, she fell in love with the way yoga made her feel, both physically and mentally, and just kept going back for more. In 2019, she was able to take several months off from her day job as a lawyer to travel in Central America and then complete her yoga teacher training with Soma Yoga Institute in Costa Rica. Casey aims to offer classes that are accessible to practitioners of all levels and is always happy to suggest modifications and options for various poses. Through thoughtful and creative sequencing, she encourages her students to listen to what their body needs, move mindfully, and connect deeply with themselves.

Saraa Basaria (she/her)

Saraa came back to her yoga mat after she was diagnosed with end-stage heart failure. She was living with a Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD), an internal and external life sustaining medical device, while waiting for a heart transplant. Through yoga, she found space to reflect on and process her journey and rebuild her mind-body connection. As of late 2023, Saraa is in remission and device free!

By day, Saraa is a lawyer at a pharmaceutical company. Saraa’s classes offer a nourishing combination of pranayama, meditation, movement, and affirmation. Saraa teaches through a lens of inclusion and accessibility. She hopes to cultivate an environment in which her students can connect with themselves and give their body what it needs.
